When I first moved to the U.S. from Venezuela over 20 years ago, I was beyond thrilled. It had been a childhood dream to live and work here. Just six months after I arrived, 9/11 happened. In early 2019, I was given a great opportunity: to open my own State Farm office in the town I now call home, Old Forge. I never thought about being an agent until someone asked if I’d consider it.
